I figured this would need a thread on it's own rather than constant updates on the News Feed.

This expo has every major distributor together and they'll be announcing new stuff and more over in America. Now half of it may not be relevant but it's one step closer to arriving here in the UK (and half a step closer to Australia).

Re: Anime Expo 2014 Announcements Thread

In terms of license hints there have been a few recently.

Aniplex of America will be unveiling Kill la Kill's first dub episode, while doing so they could reveal details on Box Set II to V release plans. While Valvrave and Day Break Illusion have been out in the cold for a while these two could see a proper release reveal at their panel.

Funimation have Battle of Gods all over their name, which could suggest they might reveal the release date of the home release during the Expo. It's also common for brand new license announcements at Anime Expo while the rest of their Summer line up should be revealed.

Rightstuf have 4 titles to announce, each title has a clue each though the clue for the fourth title is yet to be known. Their coming soon page has a countdown.
Clue #1
Clue #2
Clue #3

Titles that people have guessed include City Hunter, Dennou Coil, Dog Days and Gosick.

Sentai Filmworks have operation Fan Service initiated for the Expo which is suggested to include Fan Service related license announcements.

Viz Media have already confirmed more JoJo news will be revealed at the expo which could hint to an obvious license for the JoJo 2012/2014 series after Crunchyroll leaked out that they'll be releasing the first three episodes of Starburst Crusaders dubbed for a limited time only.

And clue #4 is online now as well.

I would quite honestly be really pissed off if they had Gosick, as I understood there's no chance Rightstuf would dub any of their anime...
And back in the day when I got into anime it was among the anime I got really excited about, and it was an anime that was announced to get dubbed by Bandai.
Of course, when Bandai succumbed I felt really bad, and ever since I have been crossing my fingers for it to be re-licensed and that it'd get dubbed.

I would be pissed off myself if they had Gosick. But they seem to go after older shows so chances are they don't have it. They only type of company I could see getting Gosick is either Sentai Filmworks or possibly NIS America.

Re: Anime Expo 2014 Announcements Thread

Huh, interesting. I wonder how good the streaming setup will be (especially in terms of how clear the audio will be), at the very least the "proper" industry panels might be interesting to watch.

Re: Anime Expo 2014 - Valvrave Season 1 Blu-ray LE (Aniplex)

Gah I might have to re-buy Natsuyuki Rendezvous. Good thing AoA are doing a BD for Valvrave as I am sick of being tricked into buying DVDs (and VVV looks gorgeous).

Re: Anime Expo 2014 - Dozens of Sentai Filmworks announcemen

I'm glad NouCome is licensed, should expect that to come out quite soon.

Valvrave is not my priority but given it's a sub only release, there's still time for me to collect it.

Not sure how limited they are but I will be getting all three deluxe sets since I enjoyed KnK, really looking forward to Chunibyo and even HOTD if the goodies are nice since I already own the main series.

Re: Anime Expo 2014 - Dozens of Sentai Filmworks announcemen

I had already ordered Chuunibyou the first time around before it was cancelled for the deluxe edition, so I will definitely get this one.

Re: Anime Expo 2014 - Dozens of Sentai Filmworks announcemen

Confirmed Sentai has no plans to release the director cut of the Crowds finale
Quite for bummer for a lot of fans in all honesty.

Re: Anime Expo 2014 - Dozens of Sentai Filmworks announcemen

Really hope Andrew can release Valvrave over here.

Also hope the UK eventually gets Beyond the Boundary and Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions, as I think my brother would really enjoy them.
