Aion is selling manga/anime on eBay. Aion wants money.

I'm interested in Planetes maybe. I will check it out a bit before bidding though. Like others, I'm interested to see what else you will put up

I've just realized that Auctiva editing my listings a few minutes after they're posted means my auctions take around 2-3 hours to appear on eBay; the auctions not even appearing at the top when they do reappear. That kind of sucks, considering my masterplan was to list a few items each day; alerting new people to my listings by doing so.

I guess, in an attempt to make up for this delayed listing business, I'll have to add some extra, somewhat rare titles I don't care much for either tomorrow or the day after. It's hard enough to sell anime/manga on eBay and not take a loss as it is!

...If the majority of my listings do sell, one thing is certain: I'll be taking far too many early trips to the post office than is good each day. That's the not-so-great thing about my clearly very well thought out eBay plan.

One other thing: Though I'm generally a dick on the forum, I don't dick around when money is involved.... Well, not unless CitizenGeek is the buyer, in any event, but I'll cross that bridge if it happens.

I'm going to list one more anime auction tomorrow, but I'm now done apart from that.

...If pretty much nothing sells, at least no-one can say I didn't TRY to make my collection smaller. And, if my computer should die between now and next Sunday, I'll now for sure that God hates me.

I'm a little surprised myself, but not too much. Anime never sells for a lot on eBay, and it's a joke how little manga goes for in comparison to the new prices. Seriously, more often than not auctions for second-hand manga end for less than half of the average new prices; including postage.

People on eBay are bargain hunters and, really, only the sort of collectors who pay full price on release ever pay anything close to new prices. That isn't a good combination. But, sadly, eBay is the only decent place to sell junk on the net if you want viewers/maybe even buyers.

Hopefully at least the CB sets will go bye-bye. Since I did seriously pay £60 for 'em, I couldn't start the auction for much lower without pretty much giving them away. And, as for Planetes, I guess I've just listed that at the wrong time. It isn't as if there's an AL set on the horizon yet, and the box sets are now out of print... *shrug*

(I'll actually more than likely take loss for the Planetes set since the starting price is under what I paid for the two, btw.)

...Oh well, at least people are hot for Gundam Wing. Shame about it not being all that great!

I was very tempted to bid on the cowboy bebop since the set looks great but I already have a complete collection box set which looks good. Still, maybe but no. Planetes however I will most likely bid on. My delay has been that I wanted to check out an episode or two online beforehand to see what its like but I haven't had time yet. I will have a look today though.

Someone bid for my Planetes set. HURRAY!

Someone bid for the set I just listed. HURRAY!

I've got one more auction set to start at a little after six. That will be my very last listing, for I'm far too lazy to list anything else. I fear I'll be going on more trips to my post office next week than I'll ever want to again at any point in the future...

Cheers to Durial and Big Man for bidding on two of my auctions, btw. That's proven me posting about my eBaying on here wasn't in vain.

(I'll also be sure to keep Big Man's details as blackmail material in case I'm ever banned.)

=) No worries.

WRT to blackmail, big man fears very little. If you care enough you can find info on me easily in here, such as my real name and where I live.

Pity there's nothing I want or you could blow my secret identity out of the water too ;)

Surprised nobody is bidding on the Ecole manga, that is a bit of a pain to track down in good condition. Perhaps if a pic of one of the covers to showcase the pretty young girls was included it might help loosen peoples' purse strings.

I'll add that I'm the person who bid on Planetes. Definitely put a post on here if you want to sell :p

So, that's at least four bidders from this forum now. The fact that the first day went so badly - my CB sets not even getting one bidder and no-one being interested in the rare Gundam books - suggests eBay isn't a great place to sell nowadays.

It's rather shocking that, despite me having listed so many auctions per day AND linking to my auctions on here, I've had so little in the way of love. I expected a mint, complete Rozen Maiden collection get at least a few bids...

...In the future, I'll be far more careful when buying manga, 'cause listings in the manga section get so few bidders/watchers that burning the books would be a far faster way of getting rid.

On the plus side, people REALLY seem to want that Gundam Wing set. At least that'll fund me buying We Were There 7-9 + Video Girl Ai 13-15!

And cheers to Ardman and Aya for assisting me in getting rid of what I don't want. I now think of AUKN as being far more useful to me than I previously did.

PS: If you want an invoice let me know, Mr. Big Man (this will be your name on the parcel, btw.) I think you can just enter the postage amount when you pay, but w/e.

Cheers for the payments, Ardman and Chaos! Your money has been well spent already. As I said in my messages, the sets will be heading in your direction from an early point tomorrow.

Planetes went for a lot more than I expected it to after my failure to sell my CB sets. That was pleasing. Getting rid of stuff you don't want and making a small profit is never a bad thing.

...By the way, what month of the year is the favourite of y'all? August is mine; it being my month of birth and all.

on play.com, the box set for part one of planetes only is going for £31.99.

Favourite month either March (my birth month) or June due to the sun and just wanting to be in it.

Chaos, just in case your PayPal address is your work address, you might want to explain when you go in tomorrow morning about the whole 'Big Man on an anime forum' thing, 'cause if there's a guy bigger than you there there's a high probability he'll think the books are his. I'm just saying, like...

Not really. Your real name is on the package, so fret not.
