Bought this the other day from one of the charity shops at my local town on Manga Video UK VHS for only 99p. This is one VHS title from Manga Video UK that I never got round to seeing when this 1992 45 minute Anime OVA got released in the UK back in 1996. I must admit that I really enjoyed...
I picked up a couple of episodes of Inspector Gadget on DVD for £2 the other day. I've noticed on the ending credits at the end of each episode that there are alot of Japanese names for the artwork, animation, storyboards etc. Is Inspector Gadget really anime disguised as an american cartoon...
Does anyone remember reading the Eagle Comics and Battle Comics?
I know this may not be officially classed as Manga but the different variety of character designs in the different variety of stories in the two comics are just as interesting and influencial.
What was everyone's favourite...
Does anyone watch Korean Anime? If so, is there any decent old titles that anyone can recommend me please? I've only seen two so far which are Red Hawk and Harmageddon. Red Hawk I really enjoyed whilst Harmageddon was average.
Many Thanks. :)
Just realised that this year is the 25th Anniversary of the 1984 Anime Movie - Macross: Do You Remember Love?. This anime movie has got to be one of the greatest anime movies ever made and is a personal favourite of mine. :)
Does anyone else agree with my love for this movie?
How come...
I once saw an anime series on Region 1 DVD that came out a few years ago, I can't remember the name of it, but it was about a middle aged man who used to be a really great guitarist in his younger days and he basically gave up to get married and have a family. He then falls out of love with his...
Is there anyone here that is a fan of either the old or/and new Fist Of The North Star series and movies?
I am a bit of a fan of the 1986 Anime Movie that was very well dubbed in english by Streamline Pictures which I saw on Video when it was first released in the UK by Manga Video back in...
Not seen this anime title yet but I have heard many good things about it. I've been told it is directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri (Ninja Scroll, Wicked City etc).
Has anyone seen this title yet? Is it really that good?
:)
Looking forward in seeing this Live Action version in the cinemas in March 2009. I enjoyed the original Anime version that came out in 2000 that got released in the UK by Manga Entertainment. :)

Genocyber OVA Part 1-5?
This OVA came out in 1993 and consisted of 5 parts. Part 1-3 was released in the UK by Manga Entertainment in 1994/95, but 4 and 5 were never released in the UK for some reason. Even today, I still do not know the reason why Part 4 and 5 never got released in the UK...
Who would like to see a US Live Action version of the Anime Classic 'Wind Named Amnesia'?
I do, providing they have the right Writer, Director and Cast and Music Composer for it. :D
Has the TV series of Golgo 13 began showing in Japan yet? Has anyone managed to see this series yet or have anymore info about it? Is it as good as the Manga and the Anime movies? Will we see a UK DVD release in the near future?
Thanks.
:)
I originally saw this Anime movie on Manga Video back in 1995 with a very good English Dubbed version. I must say that this is one of my all time favourite Anime movies and the only anime movie that I strongly feel that should be made in a Hollywood Live Action movie.
The character designs...
I originally saw this anime movie back in 1996 when it was released on Manga Video as a very good English dubbed version. I must say that this is one of my all time favourite anime movies. The animation and character designs for it's day are very good. It has a very interesting and well told...
I feel a bit uncomfortable asking this, I am a fan of Boys Love anime (lighthearted Gay Anime) i.e. Earthian etc. I was wondering if any companies are willing to release any of these kind of titles in the UK? For the moment, I can only buy these on Import from United Publications and some of...
