When the expensive AF Japanese releases are over, and when AoA does their release. I know you're not being serious, but yeah, it'll be a while.

I didn't understand almost any of that, but alright. I just thought it was weird that Madman is doing the same thing as AL for Bebop.

I guess Madman in Australia really liked AL's Bebop CE... Don't know why, but okay then...

I’m really glad I didn’t buy any of those things from the sale. The overly-expensive AF international shipping, and the mixup in some items, along with long delays... yeah, nope. I know nobody at AL wanted that, but seriously- never use that distributor/shipping thing ever again. People are...

GKIDS said they were using the same encode as the UK BD. I can't say exactly what'll be on the disc, as I'm not 100% sure, and I don't want to say something early that'll get me in trouble, but... in terms of extras, the GKIDS and AL discs may have different ones. I'm almost 100% confident on...

I've been trying to get Eureka to release it for quite a while (and it topped my list of titles I want in 2019 as part of their 2018 year end survey), so I'd be happy if anyone (besides those morons at Shout Factory and FUNimation) got it at this point. All I want to hear is that if either...

Overseas Upcoming Non-UK Anime BD/DVD Artwork

Yeah. The audio quality should be great, though. At least this time it'll be uncut (unlike the Nozomi DVDs)...

彼氏彼女の事情 (Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou) His and Her Circumstances (Kare Kano) (King Records, Japan) But it's a Q-Tec upscale... so, Kare Kano's f**ked.

All the waiting on the Gundam releases will be worth it if you can: 1. Use the Japanese encodes 2. Include the original audio mix for Stardust Memory (I believe, as that one's 5.1 mix had a lot of new effects) as an optional track 3. Translate the JP Booklets and/or audio commentaries. That...

Damn. I wish they did (for me at least). Oh well. Considering the ones I actually wanted were in the sales, looks like I won’t be getting them. I really was going to get them but the titles left that Grav posted aren’t really my thing, so it’s not worth the risk with that insane shipping.

So, the Mystery Boxes don’t have titles that were previously in the sales?

Actually, yours was the one I was referring to. It seems I was partially right. Oh well. Not a big deal.

@ayase Indeed. I think that “snark” actually isn’t there. I’m not sure where I got it from, but I’m sure it’s not intentional. Guess I was just annoyed and tried to find a way to justify it... to which I apologise.

Although, I will say your taxes are worse. 20% is insane. (Michigan- my state- is 6%, but it’s on top of the sale price, so that sucks) I think we can agree that 20% taxes are ludicrous.

I’m torn on this whole “at least they ship worldwide, and it’s high to stop imports” argument. Yes, it makes sense that they would put their country at first priority, and yes, it’s nice that they do offer worldwide shipping, but this whole “at least they do it” argument is preachy and annoying...

I've had shipping from Amazon UK, Amazon JP, Zavvi, Play Asia (Hong Kong), CDJapan, and probably a few other places in my lifetime, and all of them have been cheaper than AL's (granted, they're bigger, but still)- with the the exceptions of model trains (yes, I have a small OO gauge UK model...

I haven't bought anything from these sales due to the shipping. I have no idea how much it would end up costing without putting in my info, and if it would be cheaper to buy from Amazon UK on certain items (as while the bundles are nice, I don't want everything in them). The only one I actually...

Remember that Arcs 2 and 3 of Durarara X2 have lossy audio. Those plebs at Siren Visual did the Blu-ray which AL used, and to make matters worse, the audio is at a lower bitrate than the DVD! What idiots.

Good deals, but the international shipping costs remove the deals for me (and cost more than the US editions in some cases).

Well, you've got it worse, sadly... Sentai won't even ship to Canada. Like I said, I'm asking a lot. I agree with you, Sentai's decision is worse, and is pathetic even. This is what happens on a UK based forum, the foreigner stands out (and I don't mean that insultingly, it's just fact). I only...
