Overseas Upcoming Non-UK Anime BD/DVD Artwork

Cowboy Bebop: The Movie- Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door (Dynit, Italy) Ignoring the meme of me and mp3dom, this is one Dynit title 100% worth importing. Why? Because they got the license from Sony, this has English subtitles and the English dub.

I know, but the original press release said “lovingly animated by Production IG”. And the initial description on the website said it too. I corrected them those two times.

Yeah. Plus I had to f**king correct them twice that J.C. Staff was in charge of animation production- NOT Production I.G How does an official distributor mess that up... twice?!

Anime Limited is like Nintendo. Nintendo hasn't made a Nintendo Direct for 2019 yet, and as a result, people are making rumours and speculation, while 3rd party developers are announcing stuff on Twitter that would be better suited for a Direct. AL hasn't announced anything for 2019, really, and...

Agreed. On my TV, zero turns it off, but it can vary based on manufacturer and/or region.

Artificially so. Set it to Zero on your TV, so it will be pixel to pixel matched.

Gundam 0079 was DNR'd massively, At the master level, to be in fact. mp3dom said it was built in when Dynit got their hands on it. So unless Bandai does a new scan and/or remaster without DNR, it'll always be there. That shot in particular, though... I have no idea how that happened...

Re:ZERO's Video Quality in UK/US discs Discussion

Nowhere. FUNi did an iTunes release of the broadcast version (without the extended episode, and general animation fixes), but that's it. Also, yeah. Part 2 quality still is far away from what I'd consider acceptable. If Part 1 is a 1/10, Part 2 is like a 2.5 or 3/10 in terms of PQ.

Re:ZERO's Video Quality in UK/US discs Discussion

Rakugo's first episode was extended to 82 minutes for the JP BD. Just a fun fact.

Re:ZERO's Video Quality in UK/US discs Discussion

So far the only guaranteed way to get the fixed Part 1 is Madman’s AU release. FUNi don’t ship replacement discs overseas to my knowledge (I don’t think they did for Code Geass), and AL hasn’t announced anything yet.

Re:ZERO's Video Quality in UK/US discs Discussion

Simply put, nobody should buy it. Not worth supporting a release this bad. I’m glad I hate the show, because if I was a fan, I’d be even more upset and mad about it.

**** it. It wouldn’t even be a good upgrade. I’m just having a really bad day at writing today...

Re:ZERO's Video Quality in UK/US discs Discussion

I never said it would look “good”- I’m saying the upgrade would be. Because Part 1 is the worst BD ever. Part 2 still looks like ****. I complain about them every day, so I’d say I’m well aware of their issues. I just had bad phrasing. I’m the one who’s caused the most commotion about Part 1’s...

But wait... if the new materials they ar rising for Part 1 are the same as Part 2, then it won’t be a huge jump in quality.

MOTHERF**KER!!! Part 2 of FUNi's Re:Zero isn't much better. It's not as bad as Part 1, but damn. I can spot some kind of banding in every frame. Here's some caps from Pika on the BD forums:
