I got sick of netflix constantly hiking their prices in the UK so I cancelled my subscription until I read that it's easy to use a vpn to get netflix cheaper. Now I'm paying in Turkish Lira and, even with bank charges for currency conversion, it's a good deal cheaper per month.
They didn't mind...
My friend and I were having a similar conversation regarding old movies/cartoons etc and how they shouldn't be held up to modern standards. It stemmed from me struggling to find a copy of Disney's Song of the South which I loved growing up. It's funny how things like Breakfast at Tiffany's are...
As long as a physical release exists in the wild you can purchase them. Digital isn't cheaper really, in fact it's a complete ripoff in most cases. I'm fine with subscription streaming services but I never consider any of the content to be owned by me, it's just a modern day blockbuster video.
But it represents a very bad position for anyone that actually cares about ownership. Saying that the rest can just stream isn't really a fair arguement because we don't own any of it & can't just rewatch it anytime we want as nothing stays on subscription services and even if you can buy them...
I don't do cinemas. I can get a much better experience at home and sites that offer monthly subscriptions aren't letting you keep the copies so for me it's just an alternative to paying for a TV licence (I use netflix & amazon prime.) as for pirate downloads back in the early 2000s, they were...
Actual digital purchases aren't cheap though nor are they reliable unless you back them up physically yourself and even then they won't have the same longevity as a mastered disk. Quality is also an issue as is the time taken to download. Collectors are a niche within a niche and it seems a...
If they're sold elsewhere and they don't shift all the stock then they'll come down. It's not one of the more popular gundam series and I am only looking at it because its the only gundam I vaguely remember watching but I'll see how my money goes this week.
That srp is painful though and I've...
So the gundam wing part 2 CE's only difference is a 48 page book? I got part 1 but I am sure I can pick part 2 up cheaper without the little booklet at a later date (which is preferable to me if it's the case.)
Got mine too ^_^. My favourite childhood console. Now sitting happily next to my snes mini and playstation classic. I'd love if they did a dreamcast one, that's my all time favourite console but it's unlikely. I'd take any other Sega mini console though as I was a Sega kid 100%
Maybe examining Japanese culture and identity through animation or analysing different animation techniques or the technological evolution (hand drawn through to computer & full cgi) or even looking at hit/cult hit/milestone anime and why they're important.
I remember dancing and working up a real sweat on the old PSone dance mats. You could dance for ages and then when you were done it would show you how many calories you'd burnt practically leaving yourself a hulking mess on the floor.... usually about 1 chocolate bar and as alcohol was usually a...
