Have we ever had a new season of an anime 17/18 years after the previous? Any new announcement of an anime over a decade after the last season is almost certainly going to be a themed cafe/event, OVA or remake at best.
The manga is great and pretty trippy. Kinda reminds me of Humanity has declined but even more unhinged and complex. The manga is actually already finished, but unfortunately no one has licensed it for an English release.

My concern is if Sony (Crunchyroll) becomes the only licensee of anime then we are reliant on they chose to license, many shows that are getting picked by Sentai/Hidive may not get licensed at all.
