I'm currently playing through the Ps4 version. It's fun so far, but I'm only 4 or 5 hours in. I'll probably keep chipping away at it over the coming weeks. It's difficult for me to fit in more than an hour or so of gaming at a time at the moment.
Welcome! I also like buying anime on blu-ray and DVD - especially for a lot of older shows no longer licensed for streaming in the UK, physical media is the only legal way to watch them.
I'm taking a short break from writing new articles to recharge my batteries a little, so here's a collection of short articles that previously comprised part of AniTAY collaborative articles, some of which no longer exist since our original Kinja platform died in 2020.
Doctorkev’s Anime Review...
The first of six reviews of the movies I saw at Scotland Loves Anime in Edinburgh at the weekend...
Lonely Castle in the Mirror Review — Scotland Loves Anime 2023
No problem, I scuttled away myself pretty sharpish for very similar reasons (train for me though!)
Galaxy Express 999 was the movie that 10-year-old me never knew was his favourite film. Adult me still thought it was wonderful, I really must seek out the sequel movie now, maybe even the TV...
Saw all four films showing at SLA in Edinburgh today, I liked them all, but in order of preference I’d rank them:
Lonely Castle in the Mirror>Blue Giant>The Concierge>Komada: A Whisky Family.
I’ll write full reviews of them all eventually, but for now I’m exhausted and going to sleep!
I really want to read this series, I have volumes 1-3 at home, plan to get 4 and 5 very soon, but 6 and 7seem to be out of print and completely unavailable anywhere.
