I don’t want to destroy your hopes but they will mostly likely be using the Madman discs and won’t go to the extra effort to add some extras but I could be completely wrong.
I feel the same way, after all Akira was the first title released by Island World Video which later became Manga Entertainment and Manga held the rights for so long, it’s kind of sad to see. Hopefully AL gives it the deluxe treatment or I won’t be double dipping.
Unrelated to Akira. Blood+ and...
Glad I have been able to help, for the barcode font I just use Helvlight. I am not quite sure what you mean by "any advice on how to set them up?" Do you mean how would you install a font off of DaFont?
Concerning the layout of company logos, for the Trigun logos, I would suggest these...
Long time, no cover. I finally finished Shigurui: Death Frenzy which took forever because I never found the time to actually finish it but here we are. Anyways no clean cover again because of the lack of images, I just struggled getting regular images for the series as there is a real lack of...
It's wonderful to hear that my guide has been helpful in helping you create your own Blu Ray covers! I have personally never used GIMP so I am unfamiliar with software but it looks like you have made some great progress so far. I am not sure if this will be helpful to you but the canvas size I...
I really don't understand how people can be happy with the lack of availability with their titles, the fact that they only officially distribute to Amazon and Cruchyroll (which won't even carry certain titles) is crazy. Like you have said they really need to get their products onto more stores...
Looks like I am going to have to whip something up because of ALs mistake. AL spines are by far the worst spine design to exist, it's cluttered, ugly and doesn't flow right. Their worst offence is when they slap it on digipacks with the BBFC logo, when it's not even required on spines anymore...
While there are so many great titles MVM could get, I would love for them to get Sherlock Hound. I don't know how well older anime sells but the Sherlock name and Miyazaki being connected to it, would probally help its sales in the UK. Even if its a bit more obscure compared to his other works.
I guess AL snapping up Sentai titles has made MVM look elsewhere. Ninja Scroll TV and now Tenjho Tenge, it’s good to see more Discotek titles coming to the UK. As long as it’s the same or better, I will always be happy to support the local release especially with how hard and pricey Discotek...
I honestly have no idea how people watch those transfers and say they are acceptable, I get people wanting to watch these movies and finally own them but these are beyond hideous and revisionist. I have never seen True Lies or The Abyss and I would like to watch them but there's no way I am...
Doesn’t AL France have a bunch of issues with their releases that they never fix as well? Then when asked about said issues, they say its on AL UK or just don’t respond. But when AL UK is asked about AL Frances issues they say it’s on AL France. Seems like both companies have this issue of...
If we are talking classic anime that AL France has and the UK doesn't, then I would like Space Adventure Cobra TV & Movie please. Also the French version of the opening song to Cobra is great.
As a side note, while the Elfen Lied foil slipcover is cool, not using the Gustav Klimt inspired...
I am with you on the English cast for GiTS SAC being iconic, Mary is the definitive English voice for Motoko, Richard and William are great and Crispin Freeman does a good job as Togusa although I do prefer David Thompson.
If it isn’t a listing error we might be seeing another situation similar to Sentai having to redub the Netflix shows they acquired. I hope this isn’t the case since it just leads to me not purchasing the Blu Ray due to the lack of the dub. Example being Kakegurui since I watched it on Netflix...
Hate on Manga UK for some of the crap they pulled but I would take them or the Funimation UK rebrand of Manga UK over Shittyroll UK any day of the week.
Nadesico The Movie The Prince of Darkness is finished, no clean cover due to lack of suitable official images. Just finding the regular cover art in a non stretched state or just having its normal colours was almost impossible. I managed to rip this image from some streaming site that had it as...
