This is sad.... I also first got into anime via Manga VHS tapes, leading to my family referring to anime as "Mangas" for a while, which made me finding out and getting into manga rather awkward.
Oh well, what can you do? I'll just roll with it.
On the Persona 5 side of things, wasn't the last Special called "Stars and Ours", not "Sun and Ours" like it says in the press release / promo page thing?
Indeed, the first year AD was 1 AD, and therefore the first decade was 1 AD to 10 AD...
Still, it's just annoying to say "1990 was the last year of the 80s", so it far easier to just say "The 90s was 1990 to 1999", so I see it both ways. One is more accurate, the other is more convenient...
Akira is a landmark film, not just in anime but in general. It inspired so much after it and it’s so well loved that there is every chance you already have a copy on your shelf right now. So the real question is “should I buy the 4K version?” Let’s find out!

Thirded (that's not a word...) I also get my two Turn A sets a couple of days ago and have yet to receive a dispatch notice. If it weren't for @HellCat 's post they would've been buried with the two Amazon parcels of family gifts that arrived on the same day and I'd be completely unaware of...
All I can say is mine's fine, I'm afraid! Hopefully if you put it in the middle of a couple of boxes on a shelf you won't notice (if that's how it'll be stored!)
Bleach: Can’t Fear Your Own World is a trilogy of light novels set shortly after the end of the manga’s final arc, and with its second volume the story starts kicking into full gear - but is it all too much to follow?

I remember liking.... the first half-ish of Destiny. Wondering what all the fuss was about, then IT happened.
Still I'm sure I'll plonk down more cash for that series next year as well...
Oh I know, I wasn't being literal, I was just making fun of the fact that it's one of my least favourite Gundam shows and yet I'm spending a good chunk of change on two copies of it at once... Stupid sexy matching boxsets.
Yeah, I mean frankly I don't really know why I'm getting the original Seed and the HD version together, I definitely don't need a slightly worse HD version along with them!
Am I disappointed? Well yeah, that was a lot of money to put down for something I now won't get until next year, BUT I would be more disappointed if I got the release, the picture quality was poor and then I had to order some replacement discs that would probably just be floating around in...
Given I already own the imported Japanese release, NT being reduced down to £20 took the sting off of buying it pretty much solely because of the nice matching boxes a bit! .... Only a bit, but still... I'm not stopping now!
Mega-hit My Hero Academia returned for its fourth season roughly a year ago on TV and has finally made its way to physical media. Does the latest go-around live up to all the lofty expectations held by fans? Well, for this half anyway, I can say a resounding “Yes”.

Wow, Wicked City is straight out of the late night Sci-Fi Channel times, and very memorable for probably the wrong reasons. Still, it's a throwback I'll probably pick up!
The second half of the second series of Space Battleship Yamato, otherwise known as Star Blazers, adds on the tension as the three-way war between Earth, Gamillas and Gatlantis rages across the galaxy. The only question that remains has to be: does it finish the plot in a satisfying manner...
I got into a bit of detail on the differences between the three UK DBZ releases on our look at the collectors edition set here:
https://animeuknews.net/2020/06/dragon-ball-z-30th-anniversary-collectors-edition-a-look-back-at-manga-entertainments-r2-release/
Funnily enough I asked and used some...
Wow, come the end of the year I wonder just how much money I'll have spent on Gundam blu-rays.... I mean, willingly and happily, but still!
Thrilled with Turn-A joining the slate, it's been at least a decade since I watched it the first time via poor-picture-quality fansubs...
My 00 Box is fine, though my Thunderbolt: Bandit Flower was printed wrong so that the very top of the box has a reasonably thick white line and the Gundam collection logo is therefore slightly lower than its prequel's box. .... Mildly annoying, but far from the end of the world. In fact the...
Boruto returns for his fourth batch of episodes on Blu-ray here in the UK, bringing with him a partial focus on a few of his allies, which is refreshing! That being said, if you are expecting that means the story seen here diverges from the usual plot points found in Naruto/Boruto, you might be...
