First album in 16 years and first good one since 2000. I was convinced they'd never release this and then suddenly there it was. Miserable Cure is best.
Does anyone who ordered new Animeigo releases direct from MediaOCD recall how long they took to dispatch? Ordered something Monday and no movement as yet. Don't want to pester them if that's normal.
Unrelated: I can't wait for Bubblegum Crash. It's been so long since I watched it that I...
I did use CRNEW... on my second order 🥴
There was another one I used a couple of weeks ago for my third order (it wouldn't let me use CRNEW again) but can't remember what it was. Don't think any codes will work for the time being even if there are active ones due to the sale items.
Recently I ordered some Discotek releases using a 15% coupon I found online. With that, they were slightly cheaper than the prices in the sale (and as far as I know they don't stack). And that worked with pre-orders as well. Got Gorg for $32.
It's worth having a look for these coupons outside...
Nice. I can finally remove a decent HD version of Blood: TLV from my "probably never ever" wishlist. Not sure about the TV series, but of the remaining announcements that's probably the most interesting.
As I'm not clear on where AL stands with Gundam any more, I'll refrain from any snarky...
This turned up from Amazon. I ordered it about a year ago and I think it was originally meant to release earlier in the summer. English version of the fan book for one of my favourite series (which features one of my favourite female character designs), of the last few years.
Mine says delivery today by 10pm. Hasn't been dispatched nor have I been charged. Not hopeful...
The UK listing is gone for me. The main one is now the Amazon US import.
Riding Bean down to £9 on Amazon UK. The release date is today and it's gone straight to 3-4 day dispatch. Be interesting to see if they ever actually get any stock.
I know that some of the Animatsu/MVM re-releases have already been BBFC'd, thereby saving AL money, but they're also old, and there are not insignificant costs involved in designing and producing CEs for them. And in some cases these series have been allowed to go oop because, presumably, they...
Typing of disc labels (amongst other issues), did they ever follow up on Place Further than the Universe? Cynical me feels as though that's been quietly swept under the rug.
Noticed that the upcoming Riding Bean Blu-ray is on Amazon UK for a touch under £14. I'm not sure what's going on here as apparently it not dispatching from the US.

No sign of Otaku no Video, though that's not out till October.
Just ordered Kite from Amazon US. $30, so full retail I assume, plus another $13 for postage and VAT. It's bonkers to me that there's literally no other option because Discotek's distribution network is two stores, and one won't stock it. I miss UP :(
I reckon they could give away a copy of 009 Cyborg CE to every customer on their mailing list and it'd still turn up in the next sale.
Pompo CE for 15 quid is pretty good. Nothing for me this time around.
Unless AL outright come out and say the absence of a CE is for contractual reasons, I'm going to assume that instead it's because they're playing on FOMO to ensure the UE sells. At that price the profit margin must be larger than a CE at half the price and they know a lot of fans don't really...
I watched Macross Plus when Manga UK released it in the 90s, but not since. I thought it was the dryest thing I'd ever seen. Maybe (much) older me will like it more. Would've preferred a CE though, so might wait for that or a SE. Zero seems more like my kind of thing.
I kind of hate Gunbuster...
AL price matching MCM prices on their web store until 5pm Monday.

Place Further is miiiiine
Cue AL announcing a CE in 3...2...1... but eh, I have it now. I don't usually buy the anime version of a manga series I own as invariably it's a lesser experience, but I like this one so much.
Interestingly, this is the first time I've seen English subtitles for hearing impaired viewers to go...
