UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I wouldn't be too surprised if it's part of their 12 Days of Christmas announcements among other things.

You’re correct there was a summer sale in August. Last year’s ran from the 5th through the 15th. I haven’t seen any infor regarding whether it’s happening again this year or not.

@Hanners Are you able to confirm if you guys hired MediaOCD to work on Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water at all?

To be fair, those Madman sets are DVD. Using Blu-ray would shrink those boxes down considerably even for a set containing 95-episodes.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Anime Limited leaning on how the Italian Bleach sets were released. The Dynit sets were released by arc.

With that said, everyone support NieA_7 so MVM can work with Discotek on more future projects.

UK Anime Distributor MVM Entertainment Discussion Thread

Some interesting nuggets in the comments section: "Will this be using @discotekmedia’s disc?” MVM Entertainment: It will be. But our release will just be BD only. "Will this be an LE or just a standard BD release?” MVM Entertainment: We'd like to do a CE but artwork is limited at this...

I’ve been waiting on this. I’m rather curious if Media OCD will be involved or not. Since the license went to Sentai instead of Discotek I could see it going either way.

UK Anime Distributor Crunchyroll/Funimation/Manga UK Discussion Thread

The trade off there is Anime Limited probably wouldn’t have released their Sinners of the System box set and UK fans would have to wait for a standard release that may or may not actually be released.

I feel like it’ll probably be Ghost Stories.

My guess is someone put in the incorrect date. The release date is listed as May 8th in the April Newswire.

Let’s be honest with ourselves, Crunchyroll would just release a DVD before it would put out an SD-BD.

What I’d really like to know… or even get a tiny bit of a hint of, is if Anime Limited plan on bringing more Lupin the 3rd to Blu-ray? Specifically the classics: Part 1, The Mystery of Mamo, the Takeshi Koike trilogy, etc.

Never say never, but unless some deal was worked out before the buyout, I think it’s pretty unlikely Anime Limited or MVM will license Eizouken. Of course, I don’t think Crunchyroll UK will release it either.

The Tower of God Ultimate Edition is due next week, but I expect we’ll see a similar email go out for that. The preorder link has been removed with a notation of “PRE-ORDERS WILL RE-OPEN FOR THIS ITEM IN 2023”. Nadia: Secret of Blue Water seems to be in the same boat with it’s preorder link as well.

I’ve been working my way through Nana. I realized I got it as a birthday present last year and we’re getting ever so closer to my next one. So I figured it was only right I gave this series a watch.
