I often hear anime fans complain there’s no good anime getting made anymore and to that I say, “Have you seen Sonny Boy?” It rules. Go watch Sonny Boy.

I just completed my rewatch of Xam'd: Lost Memories. It’s an underrated fantasy anime series about an idyllic peaceful...
FWIW… the discs Anime Limited are using for the upcoming Sentai titles will be upgraded compared to the Animatsu discs. Smaller text for subtitles with error fixes, updated translations, etc. The picture quality should also be better too.
The big glaring problem with your theory however is all of the titles Sentai licensed from Aniplex have long since expired. Their last license from them being Tsuritama all the way back in 2013.
The only reason Crunchyroll gets to release Aniplex titles is because they’re all owned by Sony.
Spoiler warning!
The spines will either be black or white. If there’s one area of improvement Anime Limited could work on is hiring a graphic designer to give their Collector’s Edition’s spines a bit more pizazz!
…or has anyone tried playing episode 17 and either letting it play through or perhaps even skipping to the next episode. Just curious if all avenues have been attempted.
I started both Sonny Boy and a rewatch of Xam’d: Lost Memories last night.
I’ve also been keeping up with new episodes of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End, Goblin Slayer II, and Jujutsu Kaisen: Shibuya Incident Arc each week. It’s been ages since I’ve kept up with seasonal anime and I’ve been...
I’m certainly okay with a quieter and smaller slate. 2023 has been a good year for physical releases in general. I’ll probably cop Kaiji, Kids on the Slope and Shirobako. I’m tempted to grab Parasyte, but I’ve already got Sentai’s dual LE sets. I’ll have to consider if I want to pair them down...
I would personally like to see Godzilla: Singular Point escape from Netflix jail. I’d also like to see Anime Limited put more of Funimation’s DVD-only catalog out on Blu-ray. I don’t know what the right’s look like in the UK, but I’m thinking specifically Last Exile, Mushishi, X TV, and...
Anime fans are their own worst enemies sometimes. It’s an incredibly silly thing to ask the company who calls themselves Anime Limited to stop releasing every title in a Collector’s Edition. It’s not even a real issue. Just be patient nerds and wait for it to go on sale or the standard set to be...
The US release is listed as Region A & B. Worst case scenario, UK fans may have to import the US discs. It’d be super cool if Anime Limited were somehow able to acquire the rights, but my gut is telling me CR f***ed you guys over.
Funimation did a lot of digipaks for their DVD releases, but people apparently hated them. I really love my The Galaxy Railways and Gunslinger Girl Virdian digibook sets.
