From my experience, most recent Sentai BDs seem to have the Geolocking changed from US or CA to not JP, making them practically region free bar any Japanese Blu-ray players. Not sure if this applies to all their discs nowadays, but this was already the case for the Chuunibyou S2 discs.

Having only seen The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars, I would say my favourite is TGWLTT. Summer Wars seems to have a broader appeal, but nothing that would make me want to rewatch it, whereas TGWLTT only gets better with each rewatch. :-)

From amazon.co.jp, now I have both recap movies. I did order a Newtype magazine volume along with it, but sadly it still came in a bubble mailer and one corner got ever so slightly crushed :(.
