Best entry point is the 1998 US Godzilla film. You'll watch it and think 'that was definitely a film' then any Godzilla after that you'll think 'damn, these keep getting better!' 😂

What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Completely forgot Ghost Stories had gotten a blu ray! First I heard was when someone posted 'the warning!' That plays at the beginning of the disc. How is the upgrade from DVD? Is anyone brave enough to release it here?

Netflix prison for any physical collector's, yeah it may get a blu ray eventually but wouldn't bet against Netflix having atleast 2 - 3 year exclusivity deal.

    Welcome to Netflix prison.

Not blu ray or DVD but if anyone is collecting the deluxe editions of Vinland Saga, vol.3 is currently £25.99 on Amazon which is pretty crazy for these editions that normally go for £35+ min. Vinland Saga

I'd say their worst offence is when they slap it on digipacks and then forget to put the key art of the series! But then that's such a stupid mistake I'm sure it wouldn't happen more than once.....

I for one are so glad Anime Limited have finally seen the light and dropped that stupid, over cluttered spine design for the Bleach standard editions.

It just wouldn't be another rotation of the globe without new DBZ re-release.

I normally crap on AL as having the worst QC team out of any label but I genuinely applaud them for delaying when the found a problem (it was 100% the pot noodle subs), communicating it BEFORE release and explaining why. Hopefully going forward they'll learn all it takes is one quick post and...

Again France only. No plans for a UK release... promise.

Overseas Upcoming Non-UK Anime BD/DVD Artwork

Non UK as in its the French release but I imagine the UK will be very similar (unfortunately)

I think the simple answer to "why?" Is availability. Crunchyroll has 90% of the licenses on lockdown and Sentai just refuse to be interested in making an effort in licencing what they've got (kinda understandable when they've got such a small piece of the pie and reverse imports WOULD cut into...

I'd say them actually using the newer discs is 50/50 at this point... I always forget Animatsu did School Live! Wouldn't count out Amagi Brilliant Park and long shot Ushio & Tora (highly underrated)

Putting money on it now, AL will have releases of Kamisama Kiss & Flip Flappers by the end of the year 😂 Re-releases are great and all but when are they gonna put out stuff people want like Tiger & Bunny and Persona 4?! (Still very surprised they haven't got 'My Love Story' yet)

Any chance of older anime from the 90's/00's that are still unfortunately DVD only such as Tenchi Universe, Ghost Stories or some of the Burn-Up series?

I'm still optimistic it'll be good but that's not a good trailer. Guessing they didn't have any of that Fallout money left because this looks low budget as hell to the point I was genuinely thinking it was a fan made trailer.....

Ah yeah! I see what you mean. Seems to have an srp of £49.99 (an MVM CE price) instead of their usual srp of £39.99... Have MVM said it's definitely not a CE of some kind? (I don't keep up with announcements!)

Unsure if this is in jest... 😅 I mean Crunchyroll's norm for 12 eps is £35 - £55 and AL's is between £25 - £40 (None CE obvs)

Probably explains the quick announcement and preorder, none of the discs or cases seem to have any AL logos apart from the standard blu ray (could be wrong). So them just putting out Gkids / Shout Factory's release. Not a bad thing, will at least get QC'd that way 😂
