Are you able to place special orders for titles you don’t list like United Publications do? I’m quite partial to importing Discotek’s live action offerings, not just their anime releases.
It really is a shame. The majority of my anime purchasing nowadays is monthly Discotek titles from UP ever since Crunchyroll ruined the UK physical market.
Do they do special orders? I frequently special order Discotek's live action titles from UP1. I may have to give them a try for the December Discotek slate when it goes live if so.
I'm committed to buying all of Discotek's Digimon output, but I'll happily double dip if AL bring any out. That said, I've had the Australian Digimon Kizuna blu-ray on my shelf for 28 months, the theatrical release was 18 months ago, and AL's blu-ray release doesn't seem to be any closer to...
I guess season 2 didn’t sell well after season 1 was given a steelbook and season 2 wasn’t. I know I still haven’t gotten round to buying season 2 because of that.
For example, currently, from AL’s store, you can buy either the “Collectors” OR “Standard” parts of Gundam SEED (SRP59.99) for £41.99 each.
Gundam Build is SRP69.99 so will definitely be more than £41.99 after the early bird. You can buy the US Gundam Build Fighters from UP1 at a non-sale...
It’s not unfair when the model for AL’s Gundam releases is that of a first print bonus rather than a collector’s edition. The standard edition down the line will feature the same split with the same SRP.
Cheaper to buy the whole season from the US than the first half of the UK release at non-early bird price. I understand price increases, but this is an absolute pisstake.
Tickets for The First Slam Dunk are live. I’ve booked IMAX on Tuesday 29th August for now, but will probably book a Dolby Cinema screening for Wednesday 30th closer to the time.
The constant delays alongside the new pricing has pushed most AL titles just out of impulse purchase price range and into wait for xmas sale price range for me. It feels great not being tempted to buy an AL early bird every week anymore.
