I'm 30, and I often buy physical media. Sometimes blind-buys, although there are some shows that I would try before I buy, via streaming or (rarely nowadays) other means.
Thanks. I might consider using the Netflix/Khara subtitle translation for my re-watch on BD, although I don't know at this point if I'm wrong about the signs being translated on the BDs (using the aforementioned translation).
I'm considering a re-watch of Neon Genesis Evangelion via my UE BDs, and I'm debating about how I should watch it. As I'm watching it in Japanese, should I watch it with the Khara/Netflix translation (which was how I previously watched it, although the BD has the signs translated if I'm...
This also unfortunately means that Discotek won't be the ones releasing it in the US, but if I'm correct, at the time of this post, a US release hasn't even been announced yet.
I found out through looking at both the HMV website and Amazon UK that Junk Head is delayed until 18th September (Anime Limited still lists it as 14th August).
Speaking of delays, I received an e-mail yesterday that the Nadia UE is delayed again until 2nd October.
Well, my local arts centre has screenings for The First Slam Dunk coming up. The screenings for the English dub are on the 3rd September at 11am and 7th September at 4:30pm, while the subtitled screening is on 6th September at 11am (a more reasonable time compared to the Odeon screenings, given...
It's because of the restrictions imposed by the Japanese licensors. For the most part, the licensors won't allow for it, but exceptions have been made.
I'm not sure if anyone is keeping track, but the Junk Head Collector's Edition was supposed to be out 3 days ago, but it hasn't been sent out yet. Something tells me there's a delay on that one, but I don't know how long it's been delayed to, as the website still lists it as 14th August (at the...
Crunchyroll Australia has announced a "modified" (censored) release of How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord Omega (Season 2) for this December, with an MA15+ rating, making it the first intentionally censored Blu-ray under the Crunchyroll brand. The uncensored version was refused classification in...
My replacement second disc of Iroduku: The World in Colors has arrived!
The subtitle error on episode 13 has been fixed. There is a slight difference with the serial number underneath the MVM logo. The original disc reads "MBR7286B", while the new disc reads "MBR7286BV2".
I e-mailed them last night, they got back to me this morning, and said the following:
Interesting that they'll send me a new copy, rather than just a replacement disc, but that's great news nonetheless. Once I receive my new copy, I better dispose my old copy.
Not mine. I bought Iroduku at HMV in Norwich earlier today, I've just tested it, and unfortunately, my copy had the faulty disc with missing subtitles on episode 13. I'll send you an e-mail for further clarification.
You and I are on the same page regarding Psycho-Pass. The screenings are not at a good time for me too, and I've also yet to see Psycho-Pass. Another factor for me is that I have early starts at work the morning after both screenings.
The First Slam Dunk is now listed at my local Odeon, but at...
I received a dispatch e-mail for the Inu-Oh CE yesterday.
Also, regarding the Nadia UE, it's looking doubtful that it'll meet its release date target of 31st July, seeing as they haven't relaunched pre-orders yet.
Thanks. And that's completely understandable.
I'll be driving there as it's cheaper for me to park there than it would be to get public transport (in the car park I normally use, it's £1 for 12 hours on Sundays). I'll end up giving a brief opinion on Twitter without giving any spoilers once I...
I'll be making the Sunday screening at my local Odeon as I have the day off from work then, and I normally work on Sundays (the Monday screening (the only other screening there) is a bit late for my liking, given the reputation of the area during the night).
Sorry I'm late into this, but in terms of the Early Birds, I've already considered going for Inu-Oh, Gunbuster and One Piece Film: Red. I'm debating about Fortune Favors Lady Nikuno and Eternal 831. Are either of these two any good?
HENNEKO uses the newer assets too. The review by Just Passing Through states "locked subtitles", which is what the re-release has, compared to the previous release, where they were unlockable.
I'll definitely go for all 3 BD Collector's Edition sets. And regarding Junk Head, the Early Bird commences the day before I'm going to watch it at my local arts centre.
This explains the lack of a licensor logo on the case, as TV Tokyo licenses usually lack them, whereas Kadokawa and Aniplex licences would have the logo on the cases. If anything, their idents would normally precede the Funimation/Crunchyroll ident.
