Overseas UK Blu-Ray List / Australian Blu-ray List / USA Region B and Geolocked List

I see Media Blasters "Osamu Tezuka's Phoenix The Perfect Collection" is absent from the list. Works perfectly fine on my region B machine!

The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

Yeah, was just about to post a link to the YT video here. Decent first episode and it's gonna be interesting to see where the show will be heading. Was a bit surprised about how "slow" the tempo is since the PV released not too long ago was so hectic I thought that the show could've given Excel...

    Anime Limited & MVM's 12 Days of Christmas 2020: 1st-12th Dec | 9:30am MVM, 5:00pm AL

Yeah, I used a US forwarding company (recommended to my by Gemsy-chan, so thank you for that!) when I ordered from their Black Friday sale.

Overseas UK Blu-Ray List / Australian Blu-ray List / USA Region B and Geolocked List

I recently imported March Comes In like a Lion from Aniplex (including volume 3-4) since AL hinted that it was a bit "up in the air" if they would release S2 and if they did, it would take some time. Anyways, I remember asking in this thread a while back whether volume 3-4 was region B friendly...

As we are comparing, When it comes to RYW, I'm definitely closer to Shadow Cat than you who like it. Not really bad, but hardly good either. I think that if Lu over the Wall was a Ponyo (or similar anime) gone "Yuasa style" and that mix worked, RYW was a Your Name (or similar anime) gone "Yuasa...

    [Overseas] Anime News & Announcements

Interesting, bought and saw the JP BD during Halloween. The English subs could get some improvement but as it's very "indie" when it comes to its low production values, I can't imagine the reception will be kind when released through established channels.

    Anime Limited & MVM's 12 Days of Christmas 2020: 1st-12th Dec | 9:30am MVM, 5:00pm AL

Yeah, actually Children of the Sea will be the only EB I'll be going for as the rest of the sale and MVM's sale these past two days have eaten up my budget for any other EB.

Studio Shaft's hijinks. Unusual artstyles, playful perspectives and so on. Like the type found in Madoka, Monogatari series or, in a more muted form, the Ef adaptations.

    Anime Limited & MVM's 12 Days of Christmas 2020: 1st-12th Dec | 9:30am MVM, 5:00pm AL

Personally, I'm quite happy with today's selection. This why I love these sales, getting shows I've never seen cheap, letting me get titles I'd never go for at the normal price and "expand my horizons" when it comes to anime as an medium. I'm definitely going to pick up Sasami-San@Ganbaranai for...

Ah, thanks. That explains it. Was kinda wondering if something like that was the case so nice to get some confirmation!

    Anime Limited & MVM's 12 Days of Christmas 2020: 1st-12th Dec | 9:30am MVM, 5:00pm AL

Is it just me or is AL slow at shipping this year? Last year, with the exception of the Funimation clearance sale, every order was processed like the next day or so. Just received the shipment email for my first order which I placed within the first 5 minutes on the very first day of the sale...

I went with only CEs and the Mystery Box today. Figuring I probably get any interesting SEs later after having seen some more of MVM's sale and paying VAT for Rightstuf's. A good £100+ left my wallet today nevertheless.

Nothing for me today. Already own every single one of these with the exception of Log Horizon, Nozaki-kun and Sword Oratoria. I do second the recommendation of Flip Flappers, Girls Last Tour and Princess Principal though. Great shows!

The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

While I missed that GoHands is attached to the project, something that hampers my excitement quite a bit, I'm still hopeful they won't make a mess of this. If only someone could tell them that while a touch of digital effects might be nice, a bathtub or two of it is just painful to look at.

Discussing anime adaptations of visual novels

As you're obviously baiting me to answer that question, here we go again I guess. First, I have never said Fate has gotten a faithful adaptation, not in a 1:1 way at least. If you look at my replies hitherto I've done nothing but argued that those adaptations isn't "perfect" either. Not that...

Discussing anime adaptations of visual novels

To end this discussion from my part as it's derailing a "bargin" thread and I could go on forever here (you're free to reply and while I'll still read your reply, I probably won't reply back), You're free to have your opinion, ofc, but you did say "best advantage the Anime has is being more...
