Overseas UK Blu-Ray List / Australian Blu-ray List / USA Region B and Geolocked List

Ah, saw that now. Always stops reading at your fifth message at the start of the thread so I missed it completely. Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like fairly bad releases then. Once again I can decode some simple German sentences but that's about it. So wouldn't really be able to get them anyway.

Oh, Soul Taker is a Shinbou show right? That would certainly be worth a blind buy even as a SD Blu-ray, but sadly my German is quite horrible and would barely qualify even as beginner level. So those releases is unfortunately out the window as well.. As you seem knowledgeable about German stuff...

Overseas UK Blu-Ray List / Australian Blu-ray List / USA Region B and Geolocked List

Ah, bummer. I don't get Region A stuff unless they're Region A/B, so nearly all Discotek stuff is out the window. Besides SD on Blu-ray doesn't sound all that enticing at the end of the day so I think I pass on those I'm interested in (or get a cheap pre-owned DVD instead if possible). Those I...

Overseas UK Blu-Ray List / Australian Blu-ray List / USA Region B and Geolocked List

I've been checking out some region A/B and Geo-locked releases which have caught my interest while going through the list here (this thread has been so helpful, I'm really grateful for the work put into it) and I see some of them being "SD on Blu-ray" releases. Are those releases really worth...

While I haven't seen it (but I decided to gamble on it now, as from what I read elsewhere it does sound like something I enjoy + I am more than comfortable with the risk at this DOTW price), I've read that the first episodes aren't all that great and that they might give a false impression of...

Got both Sound and March last year when they had the "School-Starting-Thingie" sale. Sadly, unlike March (which far exceeded my already high expectations), Sound was a bit of a let down to be honest. Which is weird since I generally like Kyoani stuff. Is the S2 better then the first one?

I see March Comes in Like a Lion: S1 Part 1 is now under Titles Nearly Out-of-Print. Hopefully that is a sign that there is a market to bring S2 over to eventually.

I was tempted to import from Madman but in the end I have a hard time to justify buying what is essentially only the first six episodes of a fifty episodes long series. Which is counter intuitive, I know, since if this isn't a big sell there is zero chance for Madman bringing the rest of the...

Overseas UK Blu-Ray List / Australian Blu-ray List / USA Region B and Geolocked List

I thought so. Must have mixed the image of looking through something on MAL with Madman's website. While I openly admit that I know nothing about license related stuff (as you implied that Aniplex stuff doesn't get English releases, if I am not getting it wrong?) but considering all the "forced...

Overseas UK Blu-Ray List / Australian Blu-ray List / USA Region B and Geolocked List

I was looking over at the "Anime Blu-ray (UK Releases)" thread on blu-ray.com and saw that people were mentioning that at least some of the City Hunter Discotek releases works on region B players. Anyone got more info about this? One user there also mentioned something about having "a couple" of...

I highly recommend you to pick it up if you can get hold of it. Fate/ Hollow Ataraxia is also my favorite VN, but I know a lot of people find its SoL moments dull and don't like the tone shift from F/SN. Personally I feel like people who thinks that is kinda missing the point though. On the...

See some interesting titles I've been checking out for a while. However, since AL killed my wallet with their recent early birds, I will have to lay low until next week when I get some more cash to spend on anime :)

Finally got hold of my Berserk and Champloo steelbooks. What can one say other than hats of to MVM. I second the poster above me, this is how steelbooks should be done!

Well, a half decent price for a lackluster LE. That pricing should not be a "DOTW" price for that LE, it should be the ordinary price to be honest (and even that can be argued since people seem to find the LE at a much cheaper price than this on other sites). There is an ANN Answerman article...

Yeah, I think this Eva release will basically be the Netflix version packaged on Blu-ray and I highly doubt they use anything else than the new dub / sub.

Eva sure is going to be a similar thing to Utena.,, I sure hope they do. Still got Missing Kings and Return of Kings from those Christmas mystery boxes. Right now I feel like they are utterly pointless shelf decoration as I don't have K S1 and thus can't watch them.

I'm a bit tempted, but I think I pass on this for now. After Utena, Promare and a couple of other stuff I bought recently, I got to be a bit conservative with my cash. Got some stashed away for Rayearth but that's it for a while. I also got the feeling this won't be sold out in a flash either...

With the exception of Promare (which I've pre-ordered) I already seen (and own) these. Will see what comes up in future though.

So then it really just was people like me who button mashed F5 and had a bit of luck that got it then. Still, hopefully the art book gets a separate release (or something similar) for all those who missed that set.
