Lies! You clearly work for the Royal Mail's PR department and that handling fee obviously goes towards ensuring people don't question paying the handling fee which is why they (you) claim not to make any profit from it :p. I'm a fan of posties themselves. It's the upper echelons (isn't it...

I know the general blurb but I haven't given them permission to act as arbitrator with HMRC and all royal mail do is collect it and transfer the money over, most likely after you've paid them rather than up front. The collecting is already paid for and there's nothing else there that they...

So looks like I might be getting the dreaded grey royal mail card in the near future. I'm curious about the legality of their 'handling fee' though so I've put the question to them, don't know if I'll get a response but I'm interested. The basic argument is that I've already paid for...

I agree, I wouldn't be happy under those circumstances either. The whole reason I buy blu-ray is primarily because I like to own the best quality I can and actually have a physical entity not some imaginary ownership twisting in the unreliable ether of the internet. It's entirely possible both...

I've had the hd598's for years and they're great cans. Originally used them primarily for gaming and movies in combination with an astro mixamp and they had great separation. They don't get so much use nowadays as I am rarely in the room alone and they have major leakage (open backed) but when I...

That's very different. All I remember is a single perpetuated screenshot showing one very brief artifcated still with them both going downhill on a bike; that's why it all seemed a huge fuss to me.

If my memory is correct then I found it quite ridiculous the amount of fuss kicked up over it. I also felt shamed that it was pushed hard enough that Andrew gave into it which meant wasting a lot of money on reauthoring something when that money could have been spent better elsewhere. I...

The 12 Days of Christmas 2019 Sale for Anime Limited and MVM Entertainment

Some good stuff there but ultimates aren't for me; too much wasted shelf space. There's a couple I don't own that I'd buy cheap standard editions of though.

Ordered Ordinal Scale then realised I already own it lol.

I got sick of netflix constantly hiking their prices in the UK so I cancelled my subscription until I read that it's easy to use a vpn to get netflix cheaper. Now I'm paying in Turkish Lira and, even with bank charges for currency conversion, it's a good deal cheaper per month. They didn't mind...

Racial Depictions in Popular Media (Moved from the News Thread)

My friend and I were having a similar conversation regarding old movies/cartoons etc and how they shouldn't be held up to modern standards. It stemmed from me struggling to find a copy of Disney's Song of the South which I loved growing up. It's funny how things like Breakfast at Tiffany's are...

As long as a physical release exists in the wild you can purchase them. Digital isn't cheaper really, in fact it's a complete ripoff in most cases. I'm fine with subscription streaming services but I never consider any of the content to be owned by me, it's just a modern day blockbuster video.

But it represents a very bad position for anyone that actually cares about ownership. Saying that the rest can just stream isn't really a fair arguement because we don't own any of it & can't just rewatch it anytime we want as nothing stays on subscription services and even if you can buy them...

I don't do cinemas. I can get a much better experience at home and sites that offer monthly subscriptions aren't letting you keep the copies so for me it's just an alternative to paying for a TV licence (I use netflix & amazon prime.) as for pirate downloads back in the early 2000s, they were...

Actual digital purchases aren't cheap though nor are they reliable unless you back them up physically yourself and even then they won't have the same longevity as a mastered disk. Quality is also an issue as is the time taken to download. Collectors are a niche within a niche and it seems a...

If they're sold elsewhere and they don't shift all the stock then they'll come down. It's not one of the more popular gundam series and I am only looking at it because its the only gundam I vaguely remember watching but I'll see how my money goes this week. That srp is painful though and I've...
