I might just wait till I've read the original manga seeing as Dimensional Voyage is still on going and seven seas are releasing the the original next year in 3 hardcover volumes.

They crammed a lot into the 3 and half episodes that covered this volume (up to the end of 32). Having a quick flick through I noticed some stuff was definitely cut.

Yeah and so far volume 6 is very wordy with lots of exposition setting up where they are and what's to come, so with only 5 episodes of the anime to cover they probably streamlined this one as well when making the anime.
