Finished watching it last night and found it utterly awesome.
After finishing Rozen Maiden Season 1, I was simply left wanting more, so when I found out about a second season I was utterly delighted. After finding out about it on the internet, though, I became sceptical as many had taken the view of "not liking the direction it took".
Despite this, based on my absolute adoration of season one, I got a hold of Truamend and again was blown away. Personally, I can't really see how the direction of the series changed all that much, apart from it becoming slightly darker and sinister towards the end.
Story-wise, I completely wasn't expecting Bara Suishou (sp.?) to be a fake and that taster of the real seventh doll with Laplace's Demon almost made me weep that there wasn't a third season to move onto.
I heard that there is a prequel OVA "Overture" coming out in December, though, so while it might not move the story on any further, I am looking forward to some deeper explanations.
What did y'all think about it?
