That's the 3rd series, right?
I thought it was a pretty good conclusion to Robotech and a darned sight better than The Robotech Masters, but I will always have a soft spot for Lin Minmei, Rick Hunter and Max Sterling ^__^
 
No, the first series, 'The Macross Saga' was Macross. The other two series 'Robotech Masters' and 'The New Generation' where other animes from the same period.
