After announcing license acquisitions for Genius Party, Genius Party Beyond and Buddy Complex earlier this month, the jolly Santas at Anime Limited are continuing their generous gift-giving during this holiday season with the unveiling of a brand new release fans can expect to get their hands on in 2016: Bones' Eureka Seven.

With next year marking ten years since the series' original television broadcast, Anime Limited have confirmed plans to release the complete series as an "Ultimate Edition" collectors edition, alongside the first blu-ray release of the series in the United Kingdom and a return to DVD.

Living with his mechanic grandfather in a backwater town, Renton Thurston is a 14-year old boy who dreamed of joining the "Gekkostate" aircraft pilot group of the "Light Finding Organisation (LFO)" and riding "Trapar" particle waves alongside their charisatic leader Holland. When a young girl riding the original LFO, the "Nirvash typeZERO" and asks Renton's grandfather for a tune-up however, she inadvertently attracts the attention of the military, resulting in the destruction of the garage and Renton being forced to deliver the "Amita Drive" interface to the Nirvash!

Andrew Partridge, the President of Anime Limited, released this statement regarding the acquisition:

“What’s not to love about Eureka Seven? It’s a great coming of age mecha anime that shows real growth. It’s one of the great shows from Studio Bones of that era. The same studio that brought the world Escaflowne, Fullmetal Alchemist and Wolf’s Rain. I’m really happy we’re getting the chance to make this available to fans in the UK, and especially on Blu-ray. I am also excited to confirm that we are planning an Ultimate Edition release for the series.”

The now defunct Beez Entertainment previously released the series on DVD. A theatrical feature based on the franchise, Eureka Seven: good night, sleep tight, young lovers is available on DVD and Blu-ray from Manga Entertainment UK.
