Thats right Rockstar have released the 1st trailer to the game

GTA IV TRAILER


Looks like the game is going with the Russian Mafia this time, the city looks stunning a true testament to power of Nextgen consoles. I can't wait til October to get my hands on this game.

UK gaming publication CVG has put together TEN THINGS that you may not have noticed during the official GTA IV trailer which was released yesterday. They are as follows -

Going from the trailer, we can see that the birds and pigeons in GTA IV are detailed and have some sort of behaviour system going on - which should please virtual game hunters everywhere.

In one scene you can see a seagull flying underneath a bridge, and in another we get a glimpse of two pigeons sitting on a statue. Will we be able to chase those dirty flying-rats through the streets? Pick them out of the skies with high-calibre rifles? At this point we'd bet money on it. (CVG doesn't condone the harming of pigeons).

you say it's stunning graphics but lets face facts, for a console yes it is stunning but pc's have been at that level for atleast 2 years

Thats why I said it showed the power of next gen consoles and NOT pc's

aslong as your ok admitting the game and nexy gen consoles are out of date ^^
 
i'm not really interested in GTA:IV..ok the trailer looks alright, but since SA, the games have kinda gone downhill..the games don't really appeal to me much now. I'll probably give this one miss.
 
I will definately buy it the day its released, I love GTA's and I can't wait to see what new toys this version decides to include, the city looks kinda dark and gothic too which I am very happy about as I found SA and LCS, VCS, way to bright and cheerful for a murder, death, kill style game.
 
I'm a bit disappointed, to be honest - I was really hoping for a whole new city, instead of just polishing up an old one. I'd love to see a European or Japanese city covered, but they'll never do it because of the language barrier - do you keep it authentic and alienate the casual gamers, or camp it up with daft voices and lose the feeling of immersion in a living, breathing city?

Sure, this looks very nice and will probably be rather good fun to charge around and cause chaos again... but other than that, what can they bring to the table? Colour me unconvinced for now.
 
It might be a new city its onlya trailer, plus the sign says Liberteen not Liberty. Although with the updated graphics I'm sure it won't look or feel like the original verions

And since its going to be another American setting, I say kill the series off or at least place it in another setting (UK or Tokyo anyone).

But GTA doesn't excite me, I'm a Anti-GTA person and theres ton of games that should be known better than this game.

I agree I would have preferred to see another setting this time, like London or Tokyo.

So as your an anti-GTA person, no matter how good the game is you'll slate it.
 
Anti-GTA people are just people who take games more seriously than life. </3

We've had Midnight Club 2, that's as far as you're going with Tokyo with Rockstar.

Yes, because the whole aspect of it is Slaughtering and stealing cars, not fun at all...

And Lupus Inu, I'm just stating that there are more deserving games than GTA...
 
There are a lot of games better than the GTA series, I agree with you, but it doesn't mean GTA isn't complete crap, since it's fun doing unrealistic things, since you're one guy taking out like... 100.
 
I'm really struggling to drum up any enthusiasm for GTA, had a gutfull of the series after getting to the last mission of GTA3. Every time I've got one since then it's become boring within a few hours - more due to the po-faced missions than anything else.

Crackdown on the other hand ticked all the same boxes but left out the 'you failed to insert the rolled-up newspaper into the gang boss, drive to the other side of the city and restart the mission' guff. You either succeed or die trying, in which case you can usually restart the mission from a handy save point and whack the guards all over again.

That said, a lot of gamers are looking forward to this, so I'm happy for them to get their next fix.
 
A few days back GAME SPOT posted some official facts about the game. One of the main ones that strikes me is that they have taken Planes out (to avoid 9/11 similar incidents)

But the AI seems to be incredible and i cant wait for another Trailer. and Yes the Immigrant in the trailer is the actual main character, Cant Remember his name though; and by that its not a catchy has hearing "Yo CJ" constantly

God I hope the plane thing isn't true, although that would be a cool mission having to crash a plane into a mob house and bail out at the last second.

I dont think they actually said (to avoid 9/11 incidents) The main reason they stated was there was no need for planes as the city wasn't really that big. Now they have removed forests and deserts the map size has shrunk dramatically.
