Denno Coil

Anyone here know anything fact or rumoured about a western release of Denno Coil? And if not, does anyone have any opinions regarding the likelihood of it getting licensed?

I heard great things about it and would really like to see it released. But the early hype did seem to quickly turn to little or no mention of the series. There certainly hasn’t been a buzz like there’s been with The Melancholy..., Lucky Star Code Geass and Gurren Lagann, for examples.
 
I haven't heard anything about it getting licenced. Which is a shame.

At a guess, part of the reason there's not much hype is that the people who liked it aren't necessarily the type to shout about it from the rooftops.

Yeah, real shame. I’m not feeling too optimistic about it’s prospects.

Strange, but that is somehow very reassuring when wondering how good it is.

Mmm. Ordinarily I would've said it's quality would be enough to get it licenced regardless, but with the rate of new licences seemingly decreasing it's likely that companies will go for safe bets. And while Denno Coil is certainly good, it feels to me sorta different from your usual anime series, almost like a scifi novel - problem is, that doesn't really make it a safe bet...
Then again, the series hasn't even been finished for a year yet, and we've often had to wait a lot longer than that for english language releases.

Oh, it's certainly easily available on fansubs, but looking back I'm not sure that that's really what harkins is looking for.
 
What may be holding it pack it that I've found it almost impossible to sum up in a few works while still doing it justice.
Have put it on every 'what do want licensed' thread I've made/found.
