				<description><![CDATA[<p><strong>GLASGOW, UK - September 1st, 2010</strong> - Scotland Loves Animation is proud to announce several pieces of information regarding our first event - Scotland Loves Anime.<br />

<strong>TICKET SALES:</strong><br />
<br />
Ticket sales in Glasgow, at the Glasgow Film Theatre have now gone live as of today for Scotland Loves Anime.&nbsp; They are available via the GFT's ticket sales site here:<br />

To celebrate this - we are pleased to announce the first three guests in the lineup for Scotland Loves Anime.<br />
<br />
<strong><em>JONATHAN CLEMENTS</em></strong><br />
<strong><em>Appearing for both weekends of Scotland Loves Anime.</em></strong><br />
<br />
Jonathan Clements is the author of Schoolgirl Milky Crisis: Adventures in the Anime and Manga Trade, and co-author of the Anime Encyclopedia. He is currently writing his PhD thesis on An Industrial History of Japanese Animation.<br />
<br />
<em><strong>SATOSHI NISHIMURA</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>Appearing during the Glasgow weekend (8/10/10-10/10/10) of Scotland Loves Anime ONLY.</strong></em><br />
<br />
Mr. Satoshi Nishimura has worked for years as an animator on numerous anime titles providing key animation and story board work. He has worked on numerous series including MASHIN EIYUUDEN WATARU, FUTURE GPX CYBER FORMULA,CARD CAPTOR SAKURA, DRAGON BALL , PARADISE KISS and more. Later, Mr. Nishimura became a Director with several equally notable titles to his credit, including Trigun, and Hajime no Ippo. Mr. Nishimura&rsquo;s latest title is Trigun Badlands Rumble.<br />
<br />
<em><strong>SHIGERU KITAYAMA</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>Appearing during the Glasgow weekend (8/10/10-10/10/10) of Scotland Loves Anime ONLY.</strong></em><br />
<br />
Mr. Shigeru Kitayama joined Victor Japan in 1984 and became an animation producer in 1993 after an assistant producer position in the anime titled NINJA SCROLL. He is also the current chief producer of Flying Dog Inc. Mr. Kitayama enjoys war and &ldquo;spaghetti-western&rdquo; movies with hobbies consisting mainly of plastic models and toy guns. He also plays guitar for an amateur band. Mr. Kitayama has worked on such titles such as TRIGUN, EXCEL SAGA, NOIR, GUNGRAVE and MADLAX.<br />

<strong>ABOUT SCOTLAND LOVES ANIME:</strong><br />
Scotland Loves Anime features an eclectic selection of Japanese animation at venues in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee. The season&rsquo;s line-up includes the UK premieres of Badlands Rumble and One Piece Strong World, as well as the Scottish premieres of Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva and Summer Wars. Scotland Loves Anime also includes some special guest appearances and other supporting events.<br />

<p align="center"><strong>Saroshi Kon</strong> the director of <strong>Perfect Blue</strong> (1998), <strong>Millennium Actress</strong> (2001), <strong>Tokyo Godfathers</strong> (2003), <strong>Paranoia Agent</strong> (2004), <strong>Paprika</strong> (2006) and the upcoming <strong>The Dream Machine</strong> (2011) has passed away.</p>
<p align="center">Ky&#333;ko Kon, the widow of director Satoshi Kon, wrote a message about his passing on his official website on Wednesday:<br />

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <strong>Satoshi Kon passed away due to pancreatic cancer on August 24 at 6:20 a.m. He was 46.<br />

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; His funeral service will be held for family members only.<br />
